This almond butter banana sandwich is so bomb; I can pretty much have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Being a working girl most of the time I need meals that I can prep quickly. Sandwiches are the just the easiest to make at work and this almond butter banana one is just great for a wholesome breakfast.
Whenever I have this for breakfast I am really energised for my workout, and I am so full until lunch, the combination of ingredients is just so filling.
It’s also a great meal post workout because it’s full of fibre and healthy fats, and some protein from the chia seeds. It wil replenish your body with the right nutrients to restore energy levels and give your body what it needs whilst satisfying your sweet tooth.

Almond Butter & Banana Sandwich
Yield 2 people
Delicious and simple almond butter & banana sandwich.
1. Toast 2 slices of wholegrain or sourdough bread per person, once cooled a little slather on some almond butter
2. Slice half a banana (for each sandwich) and place on toast, sprinkle on some chia seeds
3. Place the slices of bread on top of each other, cut through the middle
Enjoy with a nice cup of warm tea!
