The key to clean eating whilst traveling is to plan and prepare the food you need to take with you and is available to you at the airport.
I for one always hated the plane food, actually no I despise it. Growing up I would just starve until I get from A to B. However, since a couple of years I started to take food with me on the plane.
I basically plan out what I want to eat on the plane and separate the different meals into various tupperware. I usually have one for fruits, one for lunch/dinner and one for a sweet treat, such as energy balls or some sort of baked good.
This time on my flight to Sri Lanka I took the following meals with for my husband and me:
1. Indian spiced turkey scramble
2. Sourdough sandwiches
3. Apples and figs with almond butter
4. Zucchini brownies
5. Rebel Kitchen Chocolate Mylk
I also always take a bag of popcorn or some sort of healthy crisps, cause let’s be real who doesn’t binge watch all the fun movies on the plane!?
For long haul flights such as the one to Sri Lanka I do have a light dinner at the airport lounge before I board the flight. What can I say I am one hungry girl!
