This chocolate mousse is made with the healthiest of ingredients. The main one is avocado! You read right, freakin’ AVOCADO!
It’s crazy how many sweet desserts can be replicated using avocados. The texture is perfect for anything creamy and indulgent. I have used avocados to make icings on cake and lately to make delicious chocolate mousse.
I know some of you worry and think omg will it taste like avocado? The answer is no. Unless I tell you there is avocado in it, you really wouldn’t be able to tell. Trust me I tested on my husband.
Last year for my dad’s birthday my sister and I made a totally healthy refined sugar-free cake. We used avocados to make the icing. It was finger licking-ly good that ever since then I have been making this chocolate mousse.
The ingredients are very basic and it is absolutely paleo and vegan friendly. This chocolate mousse is full of healthy fats and a good amount of antioxidant properties from the organic cocoa powder. It’s an indulgent dessert without the “bad” calories! Eating clean desserts when those cravings kick in is super important for me in order to keep my fitness goals and avoid binging on processed sugars.

Healthy chocolate mousse made with avocados
- 1 1/2 avocados
- 1 tsp almond milk
- 2 tsp organic cocoa powder
- 1 tsp agave nectar
1. Blend together all ingredients in a mixer until creamy and smooth
2. Empty the chocolate mousse into two ramekins and place into the fridge for 15 minutes
3. Place some berries and serve
